“I have been struggling for months to write this recommendation, simply because it is such a challenge to write something both thorough enough to encapsulate my feelings and brief enough to be useful capture how much Aimee fundamentally changed my life.  Even as I write this, I feel a bit silly. “A home organizer changed your life?” But the fact is, my home is now unrecognizable as the space it was before Aimee came, and since one’s environment has such a strong influence on all areas of life, including relationships and mental health, I can say with confidence that my life has been changed for the better from working with Aimee.

Some context: I am in my mid-30s, a full-time student, and live in a 750-square foot home with my partner, two children, two dogs, and two cats.  Before Aimee arrived, I was in tears regularly because our space seemed unlivable, but we couldn’t afford to move.  After the same box of cereal fell out of the cabinet for the third time and hit me in the head, I knew that in spite of the fact that finances were certainly a concern, we were desperate for help. While Aimee certainly did succeed in shifting our house from a borderline unsafe (due to aforementioned cabinets and constant tripping hazards), always messy, depressing place to be, to a lovely haven I feel privileged to live in, the benefits do not exist solely in this space.  Investing in Aimee is investing in my entire future, as the systems and strategies she introduced me to will carry me through the rest of my life and the rest of my homes. 

After the first visit, my family quickly began referring to Aimee as “Mary Poppins.” She sweeps in with an incredibly hard working attitude, cheery disposition, and easy-going personality and revamps a space from the ground up with ease.  She is both a consummate professional and a delightful human being, which are rare traits to find in the same person. She worked just as easily with my young children (6 and 8) as she did with me, and they adored the process.  She finished our home well within her projected time, was extremely fair and transparent with her pricing, and never did less than go above and beyond for us in every single visit. The systems she designed were both strategically intelligent for anyone, but also personalized to me and my needs. An example of this is that while Aimee generally recommends using a label maker, I know that I remember things far more accurately if I write labels by hand. As soon as I mentioned this, Aimee sent me the exact tape and markers she recommends for hand-labeling instead. 

As important context, Aimee and I come from significantly different backgrounds and belief structures, which was a concern for me when I reached out. However, within moments, I realize that Aimee was one of the most kind, funny, humble, and lovely people who made me feel far more affirmed and accepted than many from my own background. Over six months of working with her, I felt nothing from her except warmth, acceptance, and care.  One of the most impacting days was when we had planned to work on a particular room, but I was having a mental health struggle that I knew would make it difficult, if not impossible, to complete.  Instead of being pushy or judgemental, Aimee set me up in a cozy spot with a glass of water, and worked with me while I was snuggled under blankets to still complete the room. That level of acceptance and being with me exactly where I was was so precious to me, and still allowed an organized room at the end of that visit. 

While I could genuinely write pages more about my experience with Aimee, I hope this is enough to convince even the most reticent to give her a try.  It is a financial and time investment, to be sure. However, I can say with confidence that it is an investment with immediate return and future dividends that continue to pay off months after completing working with her.
